Bloggin’ Ain’t No New Thang…

Bloggin’ Ain’t No New Thang…
,

As I continue to learn to use WordPress for blogging, moving forward. I remembered that I’ve done some blogging in past…. like over 10 years ago. One that I found to be really helpful and am really glad I keep a blog to keep track of all my digital animation notes collected over the years…. come and check it out HERE.

I just noticed that the Animation Notes blog has 116,903 total page views. Wow. Oh, and here’s a blog I created for my short film when I graduated Animation Mentor back in 2009. I didn’t finally finish the short film until 2014 (final animation, render and audio)… you can check that out HERE.

An old acquaintance from Animation Mentor, has posted her showreel from her work on Lightyear… one of my favorite Pixar movies… Man, my Pixar top ten is ever-changing (as Bug’s Life plays in the background, see below for current rankings)… Alright, I digress, without further ado… check out this inspiring reel.

The biggest design glitch isn’t “bad branding.” It’s unreadable hierarchy. People can’t understand the offer fast enough, so they bounce. That’s not a “design preference.” It’s…

  • INSTAGRAM REELS THAT DON’T LOOK LIKE REELS (AND STILL GET LEADS)

INSTAGRAM REELS THAT DON’T LOOK LIKE REELS (AND STILL GET LEADS) Reels shouldn’t feel like a trend you’re trying to imitate. The glitch most small business owners have: they make content that looks “cool,” but doesn’t function like a sales asset. People scroll past because the reel doesn’t match the viewer’s job-to-be-done. A good reel…

  • STOP POSTING IN THE DARK: THE WEEKDAY + TIME TRAP SMALL BUSINESSES KEEP FALLING INTO

STOP POSTING IN THE DARK: THE WEEKDAY + TIME TRAP SMALL BUSINESSES KEEP FALLING INTO You can have great content and still lose if you post at the wrong time. Most Denver small business owners don’t realize the content timeline is real-time competition. When your post goes live, it’s fighting for attention in a small…
